A PHOTOGRAPHIC student has turned to fashion industry tricks in an effort to make art seem sexier.

Gemma Amor, 24, of Webster Road, Stanford-le-Hope is photographing works of art in the same the way fashion items are shot will make them more desirable to the buying public.

Gemma and a four-strong team of fellow students and models are working to promote 20 works which will be exhibited in University of East London's art festival on May 7.

Former Gable Hall School pupil, Gemma, now studying at the university, by the Thames near London City Airport, said: "This is the future of the art world and is a new way of presenting up-and-coming young people's art.

"We all feel our project has been very successful.

"It proves you can apply the fashion template to work outside the fashion world and create the same level of desire for a sculpture as you would a for dress."
