A SIX-YEAR-OLD actress has made her screen debut in the ITV cop show The Bill. Poppy Stephens appeared as a child caught up in a police raid.
The Crowstone Preparatory School pupil played the daughter of a family targeted by police searching for a kidnap victim. Her character screams when her screen mother brushes her hair roughly, leading to the dramatic raid.
Proud dad Leigh Stephens accompanied her on set and was surprised how natural his daughter was in the role. He said: “She was very calm and listened to the director. I was more nervous than she was.”
Older sisters Daisy, 11, and Lily, eight, have already appeared in several TV ads.
The episode will be shown later this year.
