Speed camera torched in London Road

POLICE are investigating after a speed camera was set alight on a busy main road in Leigh.
The camera was targeted shortly before 11pm on Tuesday, December 1 in London Road outside the Elms pub.
A car tyre was put over the camera and set alight. It took Leigh firefighters half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
The police are treating the fire as suspicious and anyone with information should call 03003334444.
