Burglars strike at homes in Castle Point over weekend

BURGLARS struck at three homes in Castle Point over the weekend.
They smashed a kitchen door to get into a house in Thorney Bay Road, Canvey, and steal a haul of goods at Friday lunch-time.
They took clocks, watches, a Fuji digital camera, a black Jasper Conran bag, and a Toshiba flat screen television with DVD player.
They also took jewellery including a studded ruby ring and a snake horn Swarovski pendant and earrings, bracelets and rings.
A house in Dinant Avenue, Canvey, was also broken into and a Panasonic 46 ins plasma television, a Nintendo Wii games console, a calculator and an Acer laptop were stolen between 5pm on Friday and 9pm the following day.
Finally, a burgkar tried to break into a house in Hatley Gardens, Benfleet, at about 6.45pm on Friday but was disturbed.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious or who is offered these goods.

Over 2008 to 2009 burglaries on Canvey went up in every district one by a massive 440%.
Still we residents can be reassured. We have a mobile police station on Thorney Bay and can look forward to another 600 mobile homes there.
We dont't have to worry no one lives there permanently least not according to our Council to date.
It is licenced as a recreational site (holiday home) and as the Act of Parliament says recreational sites cannot be occupied all the year round. Our Council have been "investigating" this for 18 months and needed proof that there are people living there permantly. They are under negotiation on this with the owners of Thorney Bay and will be giving an update at the next neighbourhood meeting.
Whereas the rest of Britain think prisons look like a holiday camp we on Canvey have a holiday camp that looks like a prison.
The owners have asked to put a fence all the way around that should embelish it to look even more like a prison.
DO LAW ABIDING TAX PAYING RESIDENTS EVER HAVE THEIR CONCERNS MET?
