Police are appealing for information regarding a house burglary in Westcliff.
Crooks smashed their way through the side door of a house in St Georges Park Drive between 6am and 4pm on Wednesday, May 19.
A 42ins wide flat screen TV was stolen along with a digital camera, worth a total value estimated at £1800. About £250 worth of damage was caused to the door.
Pc Ben Beetson, of Southend police, said: “Due to the size of the TV, I believe the burglars are likely to have left the property through the front door. This all happened in daylight hours, so did you see someone walk out of a house in this street with a large TV? Do you know where they took it? I’d ask any potential witnesses to please give me a call.”
Pc Beetson can be reached at Southend police station on 0300 3334444.
