PLANS are being resurrected to build 500 homes between Hadleigh and Daws Heath.
The proposal was bitterly fought by campaigners when it was first mooted.
Castle Point Council leader Pam Challis says she would not blame residents for opposing plans to build thousands of new homes on the borough’s green belt.
However, the Tory leader said it was necessary to plug a housing shortage and ensure young people could keep living in the borough.
Six hundred new homes could also be built at Jotmans Hall Farm, in Benfleet, up to 800 at Thorney Bay caravan park, on Canvey, and 300 to the east of Canvey Road, Canvey.
