Most drivers do not have a clue how to handle freezing conditions. It is not the conditions it is the drivers who are heavy footed that is the problem, they do not grasp the fact that brakes do not work on ice & a wheel that is not turning will not steer the vehicle. Skid pans should be part of the driving test
