Witnesses sought after man is attacked in Southend

Police are asking for witnesses of ano attack in Southend to come forward.
At about 2pm on July 3, a man in his 20s was struck over the head with a weapon in Windermere Road, Southend.
The attack left the victim requiring stitches because of head and back injuries he received.
Anyone who saw the incident happen or events leading up to it should call Pc Ian Ling or his colleagues at Southend police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
