Woman attacked at Benfleet railway station

A WOMAN was left with cuts and bruises after she was attacked at Benfleet railway station.

Detectives are treating it as a domestic incident which happened after a 30-year-old man and 35-year-old woman began arguing at about midday on Saturday July 7.

A passer-boy stopped to ask if the woman was okay.

The pair then got onto a train to Southend and, during the journey, the woman was further attacked. She also had her mobile telephone smashed by the man.

Anyone with informationis urged to contact detectives at Southend police station on 101.
