30 cats need new homes
3:36pm Tuesday 10th July 2012 in Local News
CATS homes in south Essex are bursting at the seams with unwanted animals.
Southend Cats Protection has 30 kittens and adult cats waiting for new homes and loving owners.
June Lee, from the charity said: “In these financially difficult times, people are finding it hard to make ends meet and neuteuring their cat or kitten can represent a high cost in comparison with other essentials.
“At the same time, we are having to turn away needy animals due to our limited space resources and feel the time is right to launch a neuteuring campaign which will hopefully ease this situation. “ Cats Protection is able to offer help to owners living in postcode areas SS0, SS1, SS2, SS3, SS4 and SS9 who wish to have their pet neuteured.
The neuteuring vouchers worth £26 for females and £20 for males can be used towards the cost of neutering. Anyone can apply.
To take advantage of the voucher scheme contact Alison Peel on 01702 864438. For rehoming call Rita Roberts on 01702 710630.
