Man taken to hospital after crash and woman charged with drink driving

A WOMAN has been charged with drink driving after a head-on crash in Basildon. The 45-year-old, from the town, was arrested after the crash in The Knares just after 7.30pm on Wednesday. She was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa and the man who was driving a silver Renault Laguna was taken to Basildon Hospital with minor injuries. The woman is due to appear before Basildon Magistrates Court on August 2.
