Channel 4's Come Dine With Me to be filmed in Southend

FOODIES are sought to take part in a TV show which challenges people to hold the best dinner parties.
The makers of Channel 4’s hit show Come Dine With Me is looking for five contestants to take part in a show filmed in Southend.
Hosts will serve a three-course meal to their guests who will give them marks out of ten. The person with the highest score at the end of the week claims the £1,000 prize.
The program is open to anyone over the age of 18 from the town or the surrounding area. Film crews will be shooting in Southend between October 8 and 12 this year.

Starter: Pan fried scallops in white wine sauce.
Main: Slow cooked lamb steak with a honey demi-glaze, root reg and mini roast tatties.
Desert: Meddly of mini deserts, Spotted Ricard with custard, Golden Syrup sponge pudding & Jam Sponge Pudding.

There is enough obese people in Southend to go on this show in fact hey shoud use the Olympic Stadium as the venue there is so many.

I have no idea what the food would be like but I would guess 'varied'. The conversation, however, would be sure to be interesting. Perhaps Brunning999 could be on stand-by in case things got out of order- guaranteed!

John the Resonator : Dill on cucumber slices, Coronation chicken, Chocolate melody surprise.
Doasilikey : Frogs legs in aspic with genever, Beef in beer, arctic roll in a lager syllabub.
E-Types : Pickled Trout, Grilled Pike with root vegetables, Trifle.
Asbo Uncut : Mini fishcake a la McDonalds, Wimpy High Five Burger, Mango au Cretin.
Muffindamule : Marinated truffles, Slow roasted zebra steaks with oatcakes, Chocolate log.
As Blind Haze has suggested Rich.Carol could be present too to provide the prize money and as an additional judge in case of a tie.
