Martin Bunch jailed for life after Southend murder

A MAN has been jailed for life after stabbing his ex-partner to death at her Southend home.

Martin Bunch, 44, had been found guilty of the murder of 47-year-old Jeanette Goodwin following a four week trial at Chelmsford Crown Court

He had stabbed her more than 20 times after interrupting a barbeque at her home in Quebec Avenue in Southend on July 24, 2011.

The court heard he had been harrassing Mrs Goodwin after she ended their relationship, and he had been on bail at the time of the killing.

Bunch, of Southchurch Avenue, Southend, will serve a minimum of 27 years.
