Cyclist suffers fractured collarbone: Three arrested

DETECTIVES have arrested three men after a cyclist suffered a fractured collar bone.

Police are investigating how the 39-year-old victim came to fall off his bike in Eastern Esplanade, Southend, shortly before 12.30am on Friday, August 10.

The incident happened as he rode past three men.

Three local men were arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault. The 18-year-old man, 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man were subsequently released on police bail until Friday, October 5 pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information in connection with this assault is urged to contact detectives at Southend police station on 101.
