Three injured in head on crash in Southend

A DRIVER fled the scene of a head-on smash in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man deserted his Mercedes A140 car after a collision with a BMW coupe.
Police officers were joined by the officers from the dog unit to search the area near the crash site in Priory Crescent, Southend.
They searched Priory Park and surrounding streets but the man, who was possibly injured, was not found. The police helicopter was not available to take part in the search.
The passenger in the Mercedes sustained minor neck and back injuries consistent with whiplash.
Paramedics also treated the driver and a male passenger in the BMW.
Both suffered minor facial injuries from where the airbags were activated on impact.
Both cars were also badly damaged.

Theres only 1 reason why the driver does a runner. Drink or drugs. His got away with it, lucky boy. When the police return his car the next morning, he will just say it was stolen or a friend took it for a spin etc.. Got away with it this time, but next time you might kill someone. I might not be the most responsible driver for my speeding etc.. but I would never drink or drug drive. Dont drink/drug drive!

Drink/drug driving is basically the same kettle of fish. Both substances, both the same mandatory ban length.

If you had said "there's only one reason, driving while intoxicated" then I'd be much happier.

Unfortunately there's only one thing that really annoys me, poor spelling and contradictory sentences.

It could be one thing, if he is happy with poor spelling and happy with contradictory sentences, but gets annoyed if they appear together.

Or he isn't insured, or he is banned, or he is wanted, or he is carrying a weapon,or he is just unwilling to face the music, etc etc etc.....

There are many possible reasons, none of which is acceptable.

Ultimately these all boil down to just one reason, avoiding arrest or leaving the scene to seek medical attention.
