Castle Point to host Olympic-themed fireworks display

FAMILIES across Castle Point are being invited to an Olympic-themed fireworks display to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the Castle Point Fireworks Fiesta at Waterside Farm showground, in Somnes Avenue, Canvey this year.

To commemorate the borough playing host to the Olympic mountain biking event in August, this year the fireworks will be choreographed to all the favourite Olympic theme tunes.

The impressive display, organised by Castle Point Council, will showcase some of the world’s biggest and best fireworks.

Tickets are now on sale at Waterside Farm Leisure Centre in Somnes Avenue, Canvey, and Runnymede Swimming Pool, behind the council offices, in Kiln Road Thundersley.

Advance tickets can be purchased at a discount rate of £5 for adults and £3 for children, with a family ticket costing £13.

It will take place from 7:30pm on November 3.
