THE mother of X-Factor finalist Rylan Clark has revealed he has had death threats on Twitter.
The singer, seen by millions on Sunday’s show making it through to the live finals, has been the victim of trolling on the social networking site.
Some have criticised the decision to send him through to the live shows, claiming he can’t sing while, others have been more sinister.
Linda Clark, from Stanford-le-Hope, said Rylan, 23, is a lovely person, and is surprised at the abuse he has received since appearing on the X-Factor.
She said: “I’ve spoken to him about the horrible things being said on Twitter, it is hard for him, but I’ve told him not to let it affect him, and definitely not to answer back as it only gives people ammunition.”
