Vandals trash eight cars across Basildon

VANDALS on a wrecking spree have vandalised eight cars across the borough.

Cars have been targeted in Pitsea and Basildon including Broadmayne, Little Searles, Briscoe Road and Elm Green over Monday and Tuesday.

Some have been set on fire while others have had windows smashed.

Police are now probing the incidents and are appealing for witnesses.

I agree 100% with you Debt Collector. Unless the sentences puts a shock wave into the morons thick skulls, then they will continue to do this. If they are caught they will get 50 to 100 hours CS on a weekend. I think 5 years with no time off for good behaviour is too high tarrif. 4 years 11 months and 29 days will do fine. In Thialand you would get 8 years hard time and thats why there is no criminal damage to cars by yobbos.

This a very sad affair especially for the owners of the damanged cars because of these mindless people. The goverment need to get more police on the streets for a start and follow through with tougher sentencing for these mindless idiots who disrespect other peoples property. Shoot the f--kers.

i think you'll find that they are out patrolling - theres just not enough to go around.
do you really think PC's join the service to sit around doing nothing? it would be far easier just to get a laid back job in the city with no responsibility, no constant abuse, no threat of dangerous driving charges, no complaints for just doing your job? Its not like the money is far better than they would get anywhere else - i earn more in facilities management with no qualifications than the average PC does.

with cuts being made crime will only get worse too.
