Joan Rivers visits Oldham's in Westcliff for fish and chip supper

ICONIC star Joan Rivers popped into one of Southend's oldest fish and chip restaurants while she was in town performing at the Cliffs Pavilion. 

Staff at Oldham's in West Road, Westcliff, were stunned when the American legend popped in for supper on Friday night. 

She tweeted: "BEST fish and chips in Southend. If in the area you must go to Oldhams. Wonderful fresh fish, mushy peas, lovely staff!"

Family-owned Oldham's has been running since 1967.
