TOWIE stars James Argent and Joey Essex sing for fans at Adventure Island Southend

TOWIE's Arg draws in huge crowd at Southend's Adventure Island TOWIE's Arg draws in huge crowd at Southend's Adventure Island

SEAFRONT theme park Adventure Island also saw its biggest ever crowd this Saturday night.

Visitors also enjoyed a performance from James ‘Arg’ Argent, star of ITV2 show The Only Way is Essex, who took to the stage to perform some of his favourite songs.

Camera crews from the TV show were there to capture the event, which will be included in the next episode, and fellow star Joey Essex joined him on stage.

Arg thanked everyone for staying to watch him in the rain before singing classics including Fly Me to the Moon, Somewhere Beyond the Sea and Come Fly With Me. Joey Essex joined him onstage for a rendition of Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend.

After the gig, the group went to film in Sands Bistro.

Philip Miller, executive chairman of the Stockvale Group which owns Adventure Island, said: "It was fantastic to have Arg down at Adventure Island for the Big Saturday Night - the huge crowd that turned out to welcome him absolutely loved hearing him perform some of his favourite songs. If you missed it - watch out for it on TOWIE! We are really pleased to be able to offer such great free entertainment for all the family on Saturday nights - so come and see us next weekend."

Well, must say, although I have heard of it, I’ve never seen the program. I was there on Saturday night as it was my daughter’s birthday. I saw the slight hysteria first hand and wondered what was going on. Some fells got on the stage and one of them started singing Fly me to the Moon. Well…..I say singing. It was quite unpleasant. I wondered what this fella was famous for, certainly not his singing that’s for sure. I've heard really very drunk people staggering at the end of a karaoke night sound much better than him.
