A BABY-FACED teen admitted burgling two homes, including one of his neighbours.

Despite only turning 18 in September, Jack Piccollo has already racked up a number of previous convictions for burglary.

Dressed in a grey jumper, he spoke only to confirm his name and enter pleas of guilty when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday.

Piccollo, of Denver Drive, Laindon, admitted breaking into a house in Long Riding, Basildon, between July 28 and August 7, and stealing electrical equipment, cash, clothes and jewellery.

He admitted breaking into a neighbour’s house in Denver Drive, Laindon, and stealing a guitar and its case.

Piccollo also admitted possession of 23.1 grams of cannabis with intent to supply.

The court heard hewas selling the drug on the streets to friends and acquaintances.

Piccollo’s first conviction for burglary was in 2011, when he was just 15. The court heard he received a youth referral order.

This April, he received a youth rehabilitation order for another burglary.

Under Government legislation, anyone convicted of three dwelling burglaries is subject to a minimum custodial sentence.

Recorder Syed adjourned the case until December 1, while the probation service carries out pre-sentence reports.

She said: “You are now 18. You are now a man. You have pleaded guilty to two further burglary offences and possession with intent to supply.

“Because of your previous convictions, the court has to deal with your case in a certain way. A minimum sentence will apply. In light of your age, it seems right and fair that I order a pre-sentence report.”

Piccollo was remanded in custody.
