Southernhay closed after crash between car and bus
MOTORISTS are facing delays following a crash in Basildon town centre.
Southernhay is currently closed following a collision involving a car and a bus near to Asda, which happened at about 4.30pm.
The driver of the car has been taken to hospital with head injuries, which are not believed to be serious.
Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “A man in his 50s has been taken to Basildon Hospital with a head injury, but is not in a serious or life-threatening condition.”
