Police investigating an assault in Nethermaybe, Basildon would like to identify the man in this efit image.
Officers were called to a large disturbance near the BP garage shortly after 3am on January 1. The victim, a 22 year-old local man had sustained serious facial injuries, later discovered to be a fractured skull and jaw.
The man in this efit was seen in the area at the time and officers would like to speak to him in connection with the assault.
Police are also keen to trace a white Mercedes car with a burgundy soft top roof which is believed to have been used by the suspect.
Anyone who recognises him, or who has any other information about the incident is asked to contact Dc Steve Dawkins at Basildon CID on 101.
