THREE men forced their way in to a house and threatened the occupants with a knife.

The aggravated burglary happened in Moss Drive in Basildon at about midnight on Wednesday, April 15.

The men demanded cash but fled empty handed.

Officers executed a search of the area, with the police helicopter, but found no trace of the men.

No-one was injured.

All three men were black and dressed in dark clothing.

One was described as tall and of slim build. The others were shorter and of large build.

Officers have been making house to house enquiries in the area.
