A MAN was robbed as he waited for his lift to work.

The man was walking along Luncies Road, near to the junction with Timberlog Lane when he was approached by a man on a BMX style bike.

The robber told the victim to empty his pockets.

He refused.

The suspect then grabbed the man by the collar of his jumper and searched his pockets removing £140 in cash.

The suspect then left the scene heading back towards Luncies Road.

The robbery happened at about 6.30am yesterday. **apr 20** Dc Nick May, who is investigating the incident, said: "The suspect is described as black, aged in his mid to late 20s and was around 6ft tall and of fairly slim build.

“He is also described as having a big head with stubble under his chin.

“He was wearing a black beanie hat, a navy blue Nike jacket, dark jeans and white trainers.

“He was riding a blue, old looking BMX style bike.

"I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have seen the suspect before or after the robbery.”
