Nearly 60 vehicles checked in road crackdown (From Echo)

NEARLY 60 vehicles were stopped and checked by police in a crackdown on dangerous vehicles.

Police, parked up at the Moto Services on the M25 at Thurrock, carried out the checks with other law enforcers.

Twelve vehicles were stopped from going any further because of mechanical defects.

good, well done the police... im sure people will start to have a moan about ' shouldnt they be going out and arresting criminals' , ect !!

I think daily check points should be set up on all our major roads in the county
vehicle safety is a priority and it affects everyone

Another good result for the police> The more dodgy cars that are taken off the road the safer it will be for the responsible motorist.

Nice one. Good to see proper usage made of our taxes. Now lets hope the limp wristed judiciary do their job properly.
