A DERELICT hotel has been torched by arsonists.
Firefighters were called to the three storey Lakeside Garden Inn, in Stonehouse Lane, Purfleet, after it went up in flames last night.
They arrived at about 9.40pm and spent more than two hours at the site.
A joint Police and Fire Service investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the incident which is thought to be suspicious.
