ooh look, a fire in, the much neglected by developers and quickly emptying of retailers, Laindon Shopping Centre.

How long before this becomes a regular occurence which ulltimately leads to the place being completely gutted/abandoned.

This shambles of a 'revamp' by Colonnade or whatever they are calling themselves this week needs to be sorted out once and for all.

If they want to redevelop it as a retail shopping area or as I suspect use it to build even more housing just get on with it as the long drawn out affair is leaving the place looking like something from the nineteeen seventies or a bomb site from the forties.

It must be embarassing to the local councillers and The Council and makes them all look like they have no power or will to force the issue

"at about 3.30pm this afternoon"

As opposed to 3:30pm in the morning?

Try looking up the word tautology. It might be useful when you start your journalism course.
