Fire crews called to kitchen blaze

FIRE crews were called to a blaze in a kitchen.

The fire broke out in the flat in The Cedars, South Woodham Ferrers at 5.05pm on Saturday.

Firefighters from South Woodham Ferrers and Wickford raced to the scene of the blaze and quickly brought it under control.

Crews then had to ventilate the flat which had become heavily smoke logged.
