A TEENAGER has been given the prestigious Diana, Princess of Wales community award, for being an inspirational role model to his peers.
Alex Tyldesley, 16, a Year 11 pupil at the Billericay School, received the award during a ceremony at the school.
It is presented to youngsters who have shown outstanding and selfless contributions to their communities.
Alex was nominated because of his voluntary work and fundraising for the Autism Trust, and giving up much of his time to coach fellow students taking part in cross country and other sporting activities.
