Road blocked after van hits electricity pole

A ROAD was blocked after a van hit an electricity pole in Billericay.
The accident happened shortly before 6.30pm tonight when the van struck the pole in Mountnessing Road.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene and the road was blocked while they dealt with the incident.
The accident happened near to the Inn on the Green pub but the electricity supply to the building was not cut.
