Teenager taken to hospital after car flips in crash.

A TEENAGER had to be taken to hospital after his car flipped over during a crash.

The three car collision happened in Moreland Avenue, Benfleet, were firefighters were called at about 1am.

The 17-year-old had managed to get out of the car and they gave him oxygen until an ambulance arrived.

He also had a cut on his head which they bandaged, but his injuries did not appear to be serious.

I realise that not all teenage drivers are suspect but whenever these accidents happen they are invariably in the early hours of the morning and often with no other cars involved. Just lack of experience and foolhardy bravado. Curfew anyone?

I clocked a staggering 150mph down the A13 at 1am in the morning once. I did keep in lane though. Is that careful?

Take the 1 in front off the MPH and you still wouldn't have a clue how to drive.

Staggering? 150 mph at 1 am? Absolute rubbish. Try driving along that same stretch at 08:45am on a Monday morning and keeping in the same lane. Manage that and I might respect you, especially if you can manage it with your cap screwed on the right way round!

Yeah your mum taught me to tie my shoe laces. So I can drive at 120mph, and tie my shoe laces up at the same time. How skillful is that.

I would impressed if that were the case as most cars you would be able to drive would struggle to 100MPH and when they do they are impossible to keep in a straight line dur to poor maintenance / wheels not designed for the car.

Thought I would take the stereotype all the way

As the person in the article is reported as not seriously injured, let us continue with Boyracer who is either:
.
1- An utter Troll.
.
2- A Walter Mitty in need of human companionship and help.
.
3 - A complete idiot who needs locking up before he kills someone.
.
My vote goes to 1- Troll.

This accident happened right outside my house, of the 3 cars involved, 2 were written off - the mentioned 'injured' driver & my brothers stationary parked car. No mention of this in the article. The driver hit a taxi, bruising the passenger & leaving them shaken also but said driver seems to have gotten off scott free. Untold amount of inconvenience caused to my brother & the rest of us contacting insurance companies & arranging hire car - which will continue today as the companies involved can't do the necessary on a Sunday.
So in response to 2shedsjackson - I vote 3, especially when it was mentioned he had only just passed his test!

Really? I think most adults on here were once kids, so they can probably guess at the most likely! Driving on the A13 at 500 mph at 1 am is not really the thing to do, and of course, the Police have probably copped his IP and will be looking for a pretty well knackered Corsa departing from there driven by a person who looks remarkably like he appeared from under a bridge!
