A GOLD watch and three cashmere rugs were stolen from a home on Canvey.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after thieves forced their way through French doors at the house on Link Road, between 12.20am and 7.55pm on Thursday (Aug 7).
Once inside, they ransacked the property and stole a gun-metal ATM safe containing cash and jewellery – including an 18 carat gold Omega watch – as well as three cashmere Persian rugs measuring six by four feet coloured green, red and cream, respectively.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, who has been offered any of these items or has any other information is asked to call Det Con Sam Boyd at Southend Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
