Fitness 2 Beauty plan for old GP surgery

A FORMER Canvey GP surgery could be converted into a gymnasium and beauty parlour.
Fitness 2 Beauty, currently based in Long Road, has applied to Castle Point Council to take over the former surgery, in Oak Road.
The GP practice recently moved to the new Central Canvey Primary Care Centre, by the Paddocks, in Long Road.
Fitness 2 Beauty is run by husband and wife David and Angela Rowe and specialises in cardio fitness and body toning.
The couple only opened for business last October, but are already looking to expand.
Mr Rowe said: “It has proved so successful we find ourselves needing a larger premises to cope with the demand. Moving to Oak Road surgery would enable us to employ more staff and take on more local clients.”
If the couple get permission, they will set up two beauty treatment rooms and hire a full time NHS physiotherapist. They are considering hiring a resident diet and nutrition specialist.
