Punch-up in Benfleet

POLICE are appealing for information more than a month after a punch-up where a woman had a tooth knocked out.

An argument had started at pub closing time outside St Mary's Church, in Benfleet High Street, when a man lashed out.

He punched a woman in her 60s who lost her tooth and was left with scratches to her nose and reddening to her left eye.

A man in his 50s was also punched and suffered a cut on the bridge of his nose. Police have no description of the suspect.

The brawl happened at about midnight on December 23.
