A SHOP worker handed over cash after a robber armed with a knife held up a Canvey store.
The man entered the Co Op store in Linden Way at around 8.20pm on Friday and demanded money from the male till operative.
He held a knife at his side, but did not threaten the shop worker with it, and after being given cash he fled towards Long Road.
The robber is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, around 6ft tall and of large build.
He was wearing blue jeans, white trainers and a distinctive navy blue hoodie with LAMBRETTA in white lettering on the front.
