Elderly man airlifted to hospital


The AIR ambulance landed on Canvey after a 71-year-old man fell from a roof.

The helicopter was called out at about 1.40pm to reports of an elderly man with fractures to his arm.

It landed off Park Avenue before conveying the patient to the Royal London Hospital for treatment.

Oh for goodness sake the guy was seriously hurt. At least all those (like me) who saw the attention given by the emergency services were sympathitic unlike you lot.
Hope you never have to use them!!

No, should not be on a roof at that age.

Firstly I hope he makes a speedy recovery but have to agree a roof is not the place for a 71 year old man.

There are so many rip off builders/roofing companies (and you know who you are - wink) I can see why folk prefer to try and sort out their own problems.

Hope the man is well and back home soon.

Just something someone just pointed out to me. The retirement age is to rise to 70 and one assumes roofers/builders/car
penters will have to work until then and go on roofs. Just 1 years difference ffrom this chaps age.
