Driver flees after knocking down cyclist, 13, in supermarket car park in Hadleigh

A DRIVER knocked down a teenage cyclist in a supermarket car park, but failed to stay at the scene after checking he was all right.

Police are appealing for witnesses to identify the female driver who hit the schoolboy, aged 13, at the Morrisons car park exit in New Road, Hadleigh.

An Essex Police spokesman said the teenager, who lives locally and was wearing a black King John School uniform at the time, was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises to his leg.
