Country music club launch

COUNTRY music fans celebrated the official launch of a new country music club with an Independence Day party.
The Leigh-based Margueriteville Country Music Club chose the American celebration on July 4 as its launch day in honour of the country that gave rise to the genre.
Based at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall, Marguerite Drive, the party saw almost 70 country music fans dance the night away, with 50 new members signing up for club membership.
The evening raised £200 towards the hall’s rebuilding fund. To find out more about the club or to join, call 07825 686249.
