SHOPPERS looking for fresh local produce will be able to take their pick as Leigh’s farmers market returns later this month.

The first market of 2010 will be held at Leigh Community Centre, in Elm Road, from 9am to 12noon on Friday, February 19.

Offering everything from fresh vegetables and meats to cakes, breads and sauces, the market has strict guidelines producers have to meet concerning production and processing.
