Police are appealing for information following the theft of a purse from a bag left on a bus in Leigh.
A blue bag was left on the number nine bus which travels from Rayleigh railway station to Shoebury in Progress Road, Leigh, sometime between 1.04pm and 5pm on February 27, 2010.
While the bag was unattended a brown leather purse was stolen from inside which contained various bank cards, a driver’s licence, keys, a photograph, old Glastonbury ticket and a pink plastic heart pendant.
The bag belonged to a 39-year-old woman from Leigh.
Anyone with information, particularly any passengers on the bus at the time should contact police at Southend on 0300 333 4444.
