Youths damage fence in Leigh

POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a group of youths who vandalised a fence.

The group of five were disturbed by a cyclist who tried to chase them but couldn't catch them.

It happened in Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh, near its junction with Manchester Drive.

The group consisted of three boys and two girls. One of the boys was aged 14-16, slim with short brown hair, between 5’9” and 6’ tall, wearing a bomber-style fleece jacket with a hood.

Another had olive skin, slim build, aged about 12, 5’2”, wearing a white tracksuit top with a hood.

The third boy was also aged about 12.

The girls were both between 5’ and 5’2” tall with dark hair in a bob style, one was wearing a jacket and jeans.

The damage happened at around 8.10pm on Tuesday, March 2.
