TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of stealing bikes in the Leigh area.
It happened after a bike was stolen from outside Chalkwell Railway station where it was chained to railings on Tuesday [Nov 15] Another bike was stolen from the basement of Clements Court, in Broadway West, Leigh, after entry was forced to the site on the same day.
A16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a bicycle and going equipped to commit theft.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped to commit theft. Neither boy provided an address.
Both have been released on police bail until January 15.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity should call PC Chris Holmes at Leigh police station on 101.
