Car stolen from Leigh driveway

THIEVES stole a car from a house driveway after entering the property unnoticed and taking the keys.
The incident happened in Herschell Road, Leigh, between 2pm and 3.45pm on Friday, December 2.
The stolen grey Citroen Picasso is valued at £6,000 and police are keen to hear from people who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or know what has happened to the car.
Anyone with information should contact PC Christian Forbes at Southend police station on 101.

Our friends live in that road and have just had an alarm fitted by a local professionally qualified Police approved alarm company and are extremely pleased with the fact they can sleep at night something they had difficulty doing recently because of all the burglaries in the road.

Since the invention of the Immobiliser car theft has changed.
I'm very sure that a lot of people with money worries are staging these types of "Insurance Jobs" now.
As insurance companies won't pay out if the vehicle has been stolen if the key was left in the ignition, many people will now be saying that someone had got into their property and took the ignition key, then drove off in the vehicle from outside thei property.
It makes you wonder!
