Two men attacked in Leigh Broadway
11:33am Tuesday 12th June 2012 in News
TWO men were attacked as they tried to get into a taxi in Leigh Broadway.
The victims, both in their 30s, were outside Mariners Court when three thugs attacked them and tried to jump into the cab.
One of the victims was punched in the face several times, causing cuts to his head and chin and the other victim was punched in the head then kicked whilst he lay on the ground. He suffered from bruising to his back, ribs and arms.
The thugs were white men in their 20s and had short brown hair.
One was slim, and another was also slim and was wearing a white top and jeans.
Police said the incident happened on May 26 at about 1.15am.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Lewis Gordon at the Rayleigh area investigation team on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

l OBVIOUSLY did read the article. l saw that 3 men tried to jump into the taxi after the attack, and l KNEW the driver wouldn`t take them, OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!
However, YOUR comment " What`s the point of THAT? WAS NOT CLEAR what the WHAT was.
ln the future why don`t you practice actually saying what you`re referring to, it`s not entirely obvious as it could have referred to another comment in the article.
Your disagreeable tone to someone you don`t even know ( always so easy hiding behind a computer) is not conducive to a genuine, and agreeable discussion or answer.

And as for the CAPITALS, well, if you had any intelligence, it might have occured to you that many people use them to EMPHASISE a point. lt`s NOT shouting, just because a few people all agreed together like sheep that it was so, doesn`t make it so, it`s for emphasis.
And now l`m going out till this evening, l`ve got better things to do with my time, l`m sure there`ll be a reply when l come back, SUCH fun, isn`t it debating with people you don`t even know!!!

logists have " issues" translate into plain english " problems" ! But then again don`t we all, it`s part of the human condition, but it`s how we deal with them that counts!!
l believe l know myself the best, in fact l believe we ALL know ourselves ( if we are honest) the best.
So, l am in that sense my own therapist, as l know both my strengts and weaknesses, my insecurities, my vulnerable side and my confident and happy side.
Because of my insight into my feelings, and l am an intuitive person, l don`t need another person, a stranger, to tell me what they perceive to be wrong.
l could see 10 therapists, and get 10 different opinions, or diagnosis, so they can`t ALL be right can they?
These are their perceptions, and all different too, so basically unreliable.
l think the fact that l can express myself well, both in writing and in person shows that l am a good communicator, l am not the type to bottle things, the fact that l travel also and enjoy it should tell you that l try to get the best l know how to out of life, and regard all experiences, both good and bad, as valuable, even if an experience is bad, it is still valuable in its own right, because it is only through all experiences that we grow and develope, both as human and spiritual beings.
Whether or not you think l need therapy is entirely irrelevant to me, l know myself well enough to know that l don`t need it, and if you look around at the state of the world, plus the child abuse in this country,) l used to volunteer for the nspcc) then l would say many people certainly do!

Did they ever accept you ?What a STUPID question!!! HOW? could l have been a volunteer if they hadn`t accepted me in the first place ???? Answer, if you can, but l doubt you can!!!
And in answer to the 2nd part of your question, yes they do actually accept anyone as a volunteer.
Maybe they do their own checks, l don`t know, but as long as a volunteers work is satisfactory they are pleased to have them, and quite rightly so, we work, not for monetary gain but because we believe in something, which is the wellfare, well being and happiness of the child, and as the uk came bottom in a Unicef survey of 39 countries for child mental health, well being, self esteem and happiness, l think this is something worth doing, l may even re-apply soon.
Also, you may not be aware of this but the NSPCC`s own figures show that 1 child PER WEEK is killed at the hands of a parent or care, a statistic of which to feel deeply ashamed!!!
And, the respected organisation CEOP`s figure reveal that 1 child is raped in the uk EVERY 20 MINUTES.
This makes for horrifying readingm although l don`t think many brits are even aware of the scale of the problem in the uk!

i don't want to make a big issue out of it but I was taught that 'used to' is an expression rather than a tense and (in the form you used it) consists of a subject (I), a verb (used) and an infinitive (to do)- In this case volunteer.
Still, never mind, we all make mistakes don't we ?

lt`s the context it`s being used in that counts, and as l said that l used to work for the nspcc it should have been obvious what l meant, still as you said we all make mistakes and l`m not about to lose any sleep over it, sure you won`t either :-)
