I saw them in Hart road Thundersley at 1.25pm being persued by a police subaru impreza and a Volvo all doing ridiculously high speeds.
Glad they got these morons in the end, though they we never going to get away with a chopper tracking their every move anyway.

No doubt they will get a slap on the wrist and a few hours community service for their bit of fun.

They came flying down Lynington Avenue in Leigh at a ridiculously high speed. There are cars parked on both sides of this road, thank God nothing was coming the other way!!

I heard the helicopter, the police sirens and then the screech of brakes. The Audi had turned from Kingswood Chase into Manchester Drive at speed, hit the kerb and come to a halt on the pavement. As I went out of my door to see what was going on the helicopter was hovering overhead. The driver got out of the car and went around to the other side of the car where he was joined by his passenger. At that moment several police cars converged on the junction, the police leapt out and instantly handcuffed the driver taking him away, whilst the passenger was detained and questioned.
The car was searched and then taken away on a low-loader.

It sounded like down town Manhattan with all the police activity today. Two unmarked police Audi's, a Ford Galaxy, Transit Connect another van, all went screaming along London Road towards Sadlers. Think that was for an armed robbery at a jewellers in Lakeside. Then a couple of hours later this police chase. Hope they throw the book at them

"breaching an ASBO, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft, failing to stop and having no insurance" – all wrist-slap acts; "driving while DQ" – now that will be gaol!

Shouldn't there be exceeding the speed limit and probably dangerous driving in that list also?

In the US they throw the whole book at them for things like this; some people end up with about 20 charges for all the red lights they go through etc! In this country however, it seems as though they only normally charge you with the biggest offences, evading police, failing to stop, maybe one or two others but its normally way too lenient!
