Armed robbers strike in Eastwood and Canvey

POLICE are investigating armed robberies in Eastwood and Canvey from last night.

A crooks targeted Londis, in Rayleigh Road, where he brandished a knife and stole some cash at about 9.20pm.

A second knife-point robbery happened at the Co-op in Linden Way, Canvey, at about 10pm.

Police are looking at whether the two robberies are connected.

The Echo is currently waiting for suspect descriptions from the police and further details.

Anyone with information should call Southend Target Offender Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
