RESIDENTS are being encouraged to save energy as part of a national campaign.

Rochford District Council is taking part in Big Energy Saving Week which is a collaboration between Citizens Advice, Energy Saving Trust, Government, energy suppliers and other voluntary and charitable organisations.

The aim of the campaign is to give customers advice and help with saving money on fuel bills.

Energy monitors are available to hire from all libraries in the District. The monitors are free to loan, simple to operate and can show how much electricity you are using.

Throughout Big Energy Saving Week there are events happening around the county, to find the one nearest to you, visit the charity’s website: www.citizensadvice.org.uk/bigenergysavingweek.
