Rochford District Council has secured funding from Sport Essex to deliver a series of free taster sessions for over 50s across the District.

Activities will take place during the week commencing 1 March and will include health walks, pilates, exercise to music, badminton, golf, table tennis and health checks.

Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for leisure, Councillor Keith Gordon, said “This initiative represents a wonderful opportunity for people to try out new sports and activities in an informal and fun environment. We are working in partnership with other key organisations across the district to ensure the week offers a variety of opportunities and we hope to see lots of people accessing these free sessions”.
