A MAN who died in a crash in Rochford yesterday has been named.
David Churn, 70, of Plumberow Avenue, Hockley, is though to have suffered a heart attack at the wheel before crashing in Ashingdon Road, Rochford, about 12.40pm.
A retired plant driver, Mr Churn was married to Wendy, and leaves a son Gary, and grandchildren Jason and Robby.
His grieving family released a tribute today through Essex Police which said he and his wife had been planning an extended holiday to New Zealand.
It said: "He will be greatly missed by his family and friends."
Mr Churn lived in Hockley for the past 17 months but previously lived in Great Wakering for 16 years.
He was a keen sea and freshwater fisherman and owned his own boat.
